'12 Super Duty has been a real disappointment

I'm not sure how having some issues with your '12, would make you jump all the way to the conclusion that they don't build them as tough? I think you were fortunate that you haven't had any problems up until this truck. That's all. Service departments have been around since the beginning and they are not empty.
Because if the work I'm doing/mileage I'm running hasn't really changed over the years, but the truck needs 1)modified right off the start so it'll actually do the work, and 2) more repairs than pretty much all of my other trucks combined, I'd say something has changed. Service Depts have been around forever, but IMO a truck that's a yr and a half old shouldn't be a frequent flier there for anything other than service!

For whoever it was that asked, https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...ed-please.html here's the link to the 6.7 failure thread I'd read, and here is where the OP discussed the cost had it not been covered under warranty. Pretty scary stuff!!

Ya, I remember that thread...seems a few of the job 1s dropped exhaust valves, thats what they figured happened here I believe. There's a tsb out to have your exhaust valves replaced if your truck gets gittery during a regen...
5. Total charge was $23,095.97. (I paid nothing). I did pay $240.90 for two new batteries. I knew they were pretty much gone, I like the Motorcraft 65/750 batts, they come with an 8 year warranty
