EASY......RIGHT?

1985 F-250 460/4sp/4wd Engine from 1977 lincoln-146 tooth flywheel with 351M starter. Eating starters like cereal!! maybe 5 starts per starter, also tried 460 and 390 starters. Now with the second 351M starter- ate flywheel. Thought I had it worked out....need actual Ford know-how here. Many thanks.....

I apologize-need to get used to specifics with Ford.
truck: 85 f-250 4wd 4sp
enigine: 460 '71 Lincoln D1VE6015A2B
bell hosing:d7ta7505ad
flywheel: 146 tooth
1st 3 starters-460, broke of nose of starter (started about 3 times each)
Replaced flywheel- 146 tooth
9 inch clutch
4th starter-351M, stripped gear on starter-not the teeth, starter engaged/spun (started about 10 times)
5th starter-351M, ground teeth off flywheel after 4 starts

Have you tried the 460 or '80-'86 forum? Probably find a lot more info there
