Good morning Jersey, happy Tuesday! May Steve get dumped on, and Tom get missed completely!

 

Morning Steve, Tom, Charlie, Pat, Don and anyone that I missed. Looks like it is going to be a quiet day here weather wise as the storm is staying to the eastern part of the state and lake effect snow will be coming off of Lake Erie and that normally does not reach me.

 

first flakes at 8 am, and is now done at 10:45 am.
total accumulation of around 1 inch.

 

Hey Tom, where are you in relation to Steve?

 

lucky you are, Neil. being 300 ft from the salt water of the raritan bay and less than 1/2 mile from the atlantic ocean, we rarely see snow fall of any amounts.
5 miles inland is another story though.

i am about 60 miles south of Steve, across the bay from Staten Island.

 

OK I thought that you were near the water. I am about 20 miles east of Rochester and here I normally get lake effect snow off of Lake Ontario and if the winds are strong enough, I will see lake effect off of Erie. Most Nor'easters stay just to the east of me but that does not mean that I do not see my share of snow. On average, we get 120" in a season.
