High Idle in Park and Neutral

I'm trying to find out what I need to check or replace to get my 2000 Excursion to idle at normal rpm's in park and neutral. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Did you check for any vacuum leaks ?
Other than that, the IAC valve regulates this I think.

There are different causes for a gas engine and a diesel engine. If we knew what engine you had we could give some useful advice.

It looks like the Idle Control Valve...... I had a 2000 and it did the same thing. I changed it and it went back to normal. My ICV was full of carbon. My 2004 is starting to do it too so I might go get one soon....
