No there are two bushings that are inside the clutch linkage that attach to the clutch pedal. The linkage bolts to the side if the tranny. The linkage also has a grease fitting.

More is better ... hope someone with expertise on this chimes in soon !! I do not know about your bushing issue . I did , however , just machined some shifter linkage bushings for my 98 Kia . FWD Korean crap ... 40MPG . Sorry ...Parts are either not out there , or to much $$$$ for me . So I adapt . My 78 !!! easier and cheaper parts !

It's the brass bushings inside the z bar I believe your talking about. Pedal linkage hooks to it which swings an arm on the other side of the z bar which a what puts pressure on the clutch fork through linkage one side is on a **** on your trans and the other side t your frame. Been awhile since I did mine but I think I just took the bracket out loosened from trans pulled it cleaned all the old dirt and grease out then got my replacement bushings from Dennis carpenter they only had them in a nylon type material popped them on in the z bar slide it into place and rebolted everything back up no more slop and jiggling of the bar wasn't any tricks of doing it or special tools needed should be a straight forward replacement

Yes the Z bar is what I'm talking about. One set of brass bushings won't come out. They move freely but stuck around the ball and socket.

Mine is slightly different. Is there a felt washer on both sides? Where can I buy those?

If already have not done so; and if the brass bushing are not too damaged, suggest first look for replacement brass bushings, I have not found them for the 61-66 rebuild Z bar kits. Rebuilt both 65's and the kits basically consisted of a couple plastic clutch pivot bushings and felt washers. That's an interesting pic of your clutch assembly, unfortunately never got underneath 4wd to check the assembly out?? .

Posting a link, not exactly on topic, but the pic's may be helpful?? Perhaps a member can post info w/ current info regarding replacement parts, and whether or not there's a difference between 2 & 4 wd Z bar parts??
