Gotcha Phil, not up on the newer motor configurations for GM.
Chevy motors are nuts, easy to find easy to work on.... Put some vortec heads on a stock 350 and it's a easy. 45-50hp gain... I've build 2 chevy motors using vortec heads and they run real nice... One was a 357: 10.1 cr, stock crank, eagle rods, vortec heads, ported and polished, beehive valve springs, air gap intake 650 cfm carb, 280h cam with 93 octane and it made. 487hp and. 532 ft lbs.. I was shocked never seen that much power for the very lil I put into that motor
BINGO!! this was in 1987. I got the car about 6 months after getting out of high school and had it for a few years before I had my one accident and totaled it.
Wasn't too old of a car Neil. Must have messed it up pretty good to total a car that new. No one got hurt I hope.
