One more thing to find I guess. But I assure you that the 100 lb wheel and tire that is snugly mounted up under there will never get pulled to be put to use. There will be others available in the bed of the truck if needed. Stu

Well, that's about 100 less things I will need to be finding! Fella I carpool with has his dad's old F1. He's planning to hotrod it so I'm going to talk to him about engine, etc.
I did find you one of these, looks exactly like this one:

It will look like this when I'm done...(I need to start on it though)

It's yours if you want it. It will need to be tested, looks good inside. I have to get a couple of tags for them.

We'll talk. I may have one on one of the parts trucks that would also need restored. Your rebuilt 1904 is sitting proudly atop the 215. Stu

Thanks, slow progress, but progress is a good thing. Is your truck still down at your folks place? And from your above comment, do I understand right that you still have inventory stored out in GP? Stu

Yes and yes. The only thing related to the pickup that's still out there is the engine, which I don't plan to use, and the 2wd tire carrier. Lucked out and found the large truck carrier with the Budd lugs on it. I think it is stamped either 51 or 52. Have a whole mess of carbs, including 4-6 1904 Visi-Flows and some WO Jeep carbs.

The curves are there to clear the big truck tire. They are all bent when you find them and those I heated to straighten but haven't reprinted yet. The nuts are the same for both, 51 1476-A. All are 5/8" x 18 tpi. Stu

Edit - not sure if you also might want the picture of the hanger where the wheel and tire are secured. The black one pictured is the big truck hanger that a MH needs because of the Budds. The one with center cage is stock F2/3, which incidentally is the exact same hanger as the big truck unit aside from the cage. And the third one is a later F-250 one that I had on the shelf. Stu

Thanks Stu the one I got from NPD is very close to the middle one in the picture . Bolts and nut will be home made rigs i think . Possibly some bailing wire for regional authenticity .

An F2-F3 wheel bearing nut wrench with tire iron/handle. I filled in some minor pitting with JB Weld in preparation for paint. Will be using this item!

Does anyone have any information about converting a 1989 F350 spare tire carrier from the original carrier to one of the newer crank up and down type?
