Can't stand it need help finding a block

Happy Thanksgiving,

I need help finding a good block near NJ. I have purchased 3 8ba motors and all have cracks going from the valave seat to the cylinder head. Does anyone have a lead on a crack free block near NJ that isn't 1000.00. I would really like to drive the truck (silly I know). Thank you for reading this thread.

I have a crack free block, unfortunately I'm about 14 hours west of you.

Ive got a crack free 8ba block or two as well. But im thinking utah is more than double the distance west from HBN
Shipping would likely be about $200 or so from here.

Is there no one in your locality who can do a good repair? Some one who is experience in "stitching" these blocks, then sleeving, can bring it back to life, and the repair is considered a permanent one.

I went thru the same thing last spring. Wound up having the likeliest of 4 repaired.
Like I say, I can't help ya but I feel your pain. After all that running around town in this is like a dream come true. Hang in there.
