Doggone it, may need to go there. Just got the coolant filter from them. Is this how it's going to be? Going from fluid to fluid, filtering this and that. Already got oil, fuel and coolant covered, now tranny needs spin-on, then there's power steering, transfer case, rear diff, front diff...I'm starting to foam at the mouth... might need to filter that!

Little confused here probably cause I have done to much reading and about to ask a dumb question, but does the Dieselsite spin on filter go on the driver side frame rail before the cooler or does it go on the pass side frame rail return line before going back into the oil pan.

Passenger side. All of the external transmission lines are on the passenger side.

Jeff if you thinking of going with a spin on filter set up Pop did his own and I like where he installed his over the kit Dieselsite kit mounts it. Pop has a link in his signature with the write up. I used it to get the parts together for mine. The little magnets are great !!

Thanks again for your write up on the spin on filter set up. The only thing I am going to do different is use a Fram HP1 it has a built in 23psi bypass valve built in. I really like how you made the plate and mounted it up by the bumper. Nice and out of the way of anything poking a hole in the filter.

I initially installed the HP-1 Fram filter, as it came with the remote mount as a package deal. I am switching to a Baldwin B252 filter at the next change. It has the same specs as the BT111 that Pop used, but with a slightly thicker (+.050'') gasket. It is shown as a remote mounted filter for Allison transmission applications. I don't know it there is any difference in the filtering media, but the micron ratings are the same. I chose this filter due its transmission application.

Good call, Roland!

After looking at the Baldwin catalog, I may change my website to reflect this filter as the one to use!

All good info. I'm going to have to do this mod. I just noticed my magnafine is leaking a bit - its covered in fluid, but the clamps look tight.

That site is well laid out, Pop. I'll start rounding up the parts...

The o-ring'd seam between the screwed-together halves starts leaking at that seam.

Seems like this is a more-common problem with them than once thought.
