Aftermarket headlight harness: where to attach power

I am about to put in an aftermarket headlight harness, and for the power source for the relays, can I just put it on the post on the glow plug relay that gets a line from the positive cable? Or should I get something to put on the battery post? Thanks a lot, happy Thanksgiving.

No reason it couldn't be hooked to the hot side of that. But, it would be a good idea to add a fuse/fuse link/ circuit breaker, just in case.

Thanks, picked up everything at the store today to put this in tomorrow. The headlights are on a 15A fuse, should I also put this on a 15A fuse? Thanks.

Sorry for the double response. The relays are 30A. I only picked up one fusible wire, so I'll have to get another tomorrow. Should I put in a 30A fuse or will something lower be alright? Thanks.

The fuse protects the wiring. I would keep it low, 15 or 20 amp should be enough. 15 amps will support almost 180w of lighting.

That looks like the kit i got from lmc. I hooked mine up to the battery side stud of the relay. Mine came with inline fuse installed @ 15amp
