Selling my very solid and great running 1978 f100 pickup. It has a 300 6cyl engine,auto trans,2.75 geared rear for good mpg,ice cold ac,ps,pb,delay wipers,2wd and 8ft bed. Truck has zero rust through on the body but does have a dent on pass bed side and cab corner. Truck runs and handles like a just off the lot 1978 truck, very tight, smooth and comfortable. It's daily driver reliable and I wouldn't hesitate to take it anywhere.
The following list of parts have been replaced within the last 300 miles Carb,fuel pump,ignition box,heater core,radiator,water pump,t-stat,all belts,all hoses,235-75-15 tires and later model chrome wheels,halogen headlights,radio with usb drive,door speakers,reupholstered seat,power brake booster,rear wheel cylinders,exhaust manifold,dist cap+rotor+plugs and wires,u joints,shocks,38 gallon gas tank+hoses+sending unit,delay wiper setup+wiper blades,temp guage sending unit,various vac lines and a few other odds and ends. Odemeter says 89k on it and based on the condition of the truck and how good it runs I tend to believe it but previous owners just put the odometer exclusion as if it has rolled over, so I can't unchange that.
These trucks in this solid, tight great running condition are getting hard to find and price is fairly firm. Took me over 2 years of looking at overpriced rust buckets to find this great truck. Only selling because we have one vehicle too many and we may be moving out of state in the near future. Bring your mechanic, bring your bodyman along to look the truck over. Just noticed the master cylinder has a small leak which will need to be fixed eventually, but truck stops fine and also the kickdown rod needs to be modified and hooked back up. Those are the only two things I can think of that should be taken care of mechanically. a paint job, some carpet and weatherstrip will have this truck in show condition. Its a nice older truck, thats comfortable, gets decent gas mileage with cold AC, about the best thing you could ask for in a practical daily driver older truck. I have a few extra parts to go with it as well.
