Good stuff, but you can get a whole truck in pretty good shape for that.

Not really a great deal. Bedsides are 650 each, and doors are 500. Fenders are 225. Tailgate is 400 NEW.And that is right from For

I bought NOS bedsides for 100 each(I have a pair) and fenders I typically pay 100 each for ( now have 3 sets). I pay 100-200 for tailgates(again, I have 3).
Mind you, all NOS

we are gonna replace the tailgate and the doors on the 84 grey truck brad, are either of those obsolete yet or should we not have a problem getting them?

Tailgate is still available and the doors are the same from 80-95 really so finding a suitable replacement should not be hard

Mirrors, weatherstripping...
All these parts are only NEW once.

I wonder what other goodies they might have stashed.
For someone interested in 'creating' a brand new truck, this is a goldmine.
Not spending months (or years) tracking down the individual pieces.

I would have to move a ton of stuff to access them, they are buried in my shed

But from my quick search E0TZ-9940700-A

And then, there's this... so I doubt it is right for an '84

The 1983-1986 uses support cables to hold the tailgate in an upright position when open.

The 1980-1982 uses metal support arms to hold the tailgate in an upright position.

The hardware between the two gates where it comes to the supports is different. The E0TZ-9940700-A gate for 1980-1982 will have extra holes and slits for the extra hardware. E5TZ-9940700-B gate for 1983-1986, omits these holes.

I know you would have to modify a E5TZ gate, drill, cut and weld to get it to fit on a 1980-1982 using 1980-1982 supports.

Just something to concider.

Man that's a nice find. Kinda wish I had the spare 3 grand. I just wander what style that tailgate is. I need one with the metal strap support. And just so everyone know the door for the 80-96 trucks do have differences, but they all will interchange. Such as 80-94 does not have the additional body line crease at the lower edge of the door like the 95-98 on the heavy duty trucks have. And starting in 87 on the inside jamb of the door below the latch Ford added the horizontal louvers to release air pressure from the door making the door easier to close. The 80-86 doors doesn't have these. I know minor cosmetic changes, but changes none the less.

FYI that tailgate part number is for the outer skin, not the assembly. It's an obsolete part meaning it will be hit or miss from your local dealer. $514.00 list ~Bill

That's a copycat gate. I'd rather have a used one; this one will be in tatters after a month of use if it's anything like other copycat gates I've come across ~Bill
