A good diesel shop?

Looking for a good diesel shop in the Springfield area to do Injector O-rings and glow plugs on my 7.3. It kills me to have someone else work on it, but I don't have a lot of time to spend on it, and I'm very concerned with how old my truck is of breaking off a glow plug doing it myself. Not a big fan of Ballie, but otherwise where would you guys go?

This has been asked before. I usually do my own work. (and everyone else's for that matter) but I'm trying to stray away from diesel maintenance. Maintenance in general, actually. I really don't know or have had experience with any of the local shops to know which one to go to. Sorry I couldn't help, but maybe Rich or RC could chime in with a suggestion.

After Ballie's worked on my 99 Dodge (new injector pump, lift pump and gauges $$$ ouch) I did not even make it back to Springfield before I have to turn around and drive right back there.

I did not think diesel fuel was suppose to leak out from under my dash..... and then no more than a year later same problem, I was not happy at all with them folks. They tried to blame it on the gauge, I'd say it was crappy install job both times.

Ferguson's does not have that much of a good rep either, and I have only heard the name North West Diesel.

I do know a local guy just north of Bolivar that is primarily a Dodge guy that get's all my diesel work for quite a while now.

Really fair on prices, but BUSY as ever. He might be a Ford guy too or recommend a reputable Ford guy in the area? Worth a phone call to find out.

His name is Billy Harmon, his mobile # 417-770-0062 and did I mention he is VERY BUSY. Its is his only job working on diesel trucks, so I would say he knows what he is doing.

Let us know what you get worked out. Have you posted this question in the FTE diesel section? You might get a KC, St Louis or Tulsa lead.

Glad you replied Rich, I'll give Billy a call next week and see what he says. That's not the same guy with the Dodge graveyard is it?

Haven't posted in the diesel section, mostly because I'll either take it somewhere local or wait till I have some time again and take a crack at it myself. Pretty sure I could get it done, but I've been getting overtime all month.
