Thanks Pete, to those who can, rep Bill for me!

So Brad, the bell housing is larger on a stick? Did you get a chance to look at yours?

Yes, it is larger. I had to lift my cab 1.5-2" and pull it back to even get the 1 piece pipes in.

No, I did not have time to look

Well, I might have to eat some crow!! I got this today:

I though you were going to send the pipes in! I had said in a previous email to get them sent in and we will get them taken care of. I can see where the clearance is an issue. I had one other set that had that problem as well and we now have a plate welded to the mockup motor so that the clearance isn't an issue any longer with the transmission spacer.

I can correct those pipes or send a set and have you send those pipes back. I do agree that there will be an issue with that bellow and where it is in relation to the transmission.

After he told me to send the pipes in, I asked how much or is this warranty work? No answer and based on previous experience, I had them fixed myself. I have put on the turbo and DP and getting ready to roll, now this. I'm going to call and if I can talk to Jake, ask him to send the pipes first. If he sends the pipes, I'll put them on of course. So, I'm in limbo again. At least I hog tied my nephew to come over tomorrow and put my dash back in. I'll be able to put the interior back together after sound proofing it and get a few other things done but then wait. I'll give a week!!

If he sends you the new pipes, that would be great! The only bad part is you have to tear it all back apart to put them in there......ya gotta like working on these things to do what we do I guess.

I'm glad I quit today after putting in the turbo, then seeing if the DP fit. It did so I was happy about that and quit for the day.

I hope I can build my down pipe out of the stock exhaust from the parts truck. I cut the exhaust off that truck today, and I'm not sure yet it's gonna work. I have to try though, cause I don't have the money to buy one. If it doesn't, I'll have to mod the 3" and put it back in for now.

Just guessing, there is enough curves there for you to work with but it will be a challenge for you for sure. Big Red had a after market DP on it, I take it? Good Luck!

Man I was planning to order Jakes s366 kit and bellows after the new year. This has me a bit worried to do so now. Do you guys have another vendor to go through instead that produces the same kit but with a better up pipe design? Is Irate the only kit out there currently?

I have noticed you guys are lucky to have a lot of down time with your vehicles. Being my DD this is something I would be doing in a weekend, and would be irate if some of these time costing issues I have seen throughout your guys threads popped up on my truck. Not bashing anyone out there, but since you all have done this kit, is there a better route to go, or is this the only route.

One last question, is it possible to install without pulling the motor? I planned on rebuilding the trans at the same time, and was hoping having the trans out it would be fairly straight forward, unless I am completely overlooking an issue. I have a 5 speed manual fyi.

Sorry to thread jack, but I thought it was fairly relevant.
