New truck comes home

Well I picked her up on Tuesday. 2014 XL CC SB FX4. I ordered her on Oct 2nd. Here are the options:

4.30 rear end
Value Package
Spray in bed liner
Cloth interior
Molded running boards/steps
Upfitter switches
shift on the fly 4x4
Heavy duty alternator
Camper package
engine block heater
Remote Start
FX4 package
Cab lights
Power Heated Mirrors
Trailer Brake Controller

I traded in my 08 6.4 CC SB 2WD and after rebates and trade in walked out for $13400.

I drove the 220 miles home and varied the gear selection while varying the speed 65-75 mph. When I hit the driveway the LOM said 12.4 mpg. I really do like the truck and it handles very well. I don't drive my trucks very much, my 08 only had 22000 miles on it. Normally it is used for Fifth Wheel and deer hunting duty. I plan on keeping this one for a long, long, time. I plan on getting another Truxedo Tonneau as they have proven durable and easy to use throughout the years. I also want to wire up some bed lights to the outfitters switches so I can see what I'm doing in the early morning getting ready for the tree stand.

Here is a quick pic: I had to leave as soon as I got home.

Best of luck, she looks sweet and ready to be put to work.

Love the roof lamps. The 4:30 rear is awesome.

Is it me or has there been a rash of new trucks hitting this forum?

They are 17's. I am not a fan of the bigger wheels. No offense to anyone who runs them, I just like the looks of the 17's better.

Hopeing to get the bed bloody on next week

I thought you needed the 18" wheels for the higher GVWR ?

What does your door sticker give you for your rear axle rating with 17s?

Thanks Matt!

The XL "Value" package gives you the upgraded radio with chrome front and rear step bumpers.

Wow that answers a question I've been searching about for the better part of the year. The Camper package does in fact raise the bed capacity!!

I'm thinking an extra 200lbs?

Thanks Boss !
