block seperator plate

I have a 70 f100 2wd. about done with my 302. it had a 3 on the tree, but im putting an c4 or c6 behind it. I was wondering if I can use the block separator plate that I have or if I have to get one for an automatic tranny.

thanks josh

2X FordGirl. Get it the same place you must have gotten your A/T flexplate (flywheel).

Summit Racing has them new for about $40.

I actually have a brand new one that I can't use if you need one.

Yes. You must use the correct flex plate. Some are 157 tooth. Some 164 tooth. You must use the correct block separator plate that goes with the flex plate you are running. Decide on which trans. I am doing a C6 behind 351W for now so I just went through this and got one of the fits all plates from Summit.
