measuring clutch size?

measuring clutch size?
bear with me...i've gotta ask a stupid question.
this is my first time replacing a clutch ('65 F100).
from the casting #s, the engine appears to be a '75.
i've removed the clutch. the friction plate is 10" across.
everything RockAuto lists says 11".
am i measuring the clutch correctly?

Ford used different size clutches, later models are mostly 10.5 or 11".
What transmission? Does the flywheel have more than one set of holes to mount the clutch?
You should be able to swap the flywheel for a later model and use a larger clutch. Or when you have yours resurfaced just have the parts house match one up.
