Bought everything I need to build a new fill plug since the one on the rear end completely stripped out. Going to put a custom fill plug in the diff cover like the G2 covers have but with a hex head.
Also I got the stereo so got to get that installed.
Haven't driven her in 5 days so going a little crazy not driving her but want to get the rear end fluid checked and get the stereo installed.
Oil change did get done and drove her once after that and that was all.

Built the diff cover and got her back together with new fluid. Runs great and no squealing like it use to once in a while (somebody had the fluid low).
Also got the front speakers in and the stereo. Sounds great. Had to run a new wire for the constant power as the constant power wire had a break in it so routed a whole new one and got her looking purty. I also had to grind the stereo surround a hair since it was a bit small. I still have to build the box for my rear sub (from the Lincoln looks like either a 8-10" sub and then I got a pair of 6in JVC 130 watt each speakers to go in their. Should be pretty good for a regular cab truck.

Ya it sure is nice to be able to do that.
On the list of things I want:
shocks
two glasspacks and pipe, and two chrome tips for a nice exhaust system
finish the stereo install
paint (going with a tractor enamel since it is cheap, nice, and looks decent)
Paint some of the interior pieces black
some headers
trickflow heads 170ccs
1.7 roller rockers
4.10s front and rear
a tonneau cover
and some more lights.
Not to bad considering before my list. LOL

Drove her to work yesterday and she did great. Love the stereo.
However I decided I was going to check the fluid when I got home on the transfer case and the plug is stripped. Hopefully after work I will be able to get the plug out with some easy outs and get a new plug that isn't like that one.

Got the new plug in and new fluid in.
The issue isn't with the tcase somewhere I am getting a whining noise after going so far but it is only under 35 you can here it and it is not whining when stopped.
I have been trying to find the source of the whine for a while now but haven't been able to. I have already jacked up the rear and listened for it and nothing. Had a few other guys look at it and we just can't find the source. We are thinking either the brakes are dragging (bad parking brake cable) or maybe a bearing needs lubed.
Only thing I can't understand is if it was either wouldn't you still be able to hear it over 35?
I am going to keep driving her as I need 4x4 the next few days to get to and from work maybe the issue will become more persistant that I can get a better diagnosis.

well hopefully that is the case.
According to a gear ratio calculator the speed I usually do is 50 (it may be off by 3 or so mph) I am running some low tread 31s and turning 2400ish rpm which it calculates out to about 4.10s??? (Remember I do have no OD) I am not 100% sure of this calc though.
I know when I opened up the rear diff their wasn't a stock ford LS locker in it it actually had a Detroit locker in it.
It is just embarrassing pulling into work with one of the cleanest trucks (most of us can't afford a nice 15 f150) there and having the rear end squealing. Of course once I get my exhaust on I may delete that sound. LOL

replaced the u-joint at the rear end in the driveshaft and greased the rest of them.
Also programed the radio so that it would stop doing all that stupid stuff.
The other day driving her home she started having a real bad hesitation into gear.
I put in one of those additives hopefully that will fix it till summer when I can afford to rebuild the transmission. I usually don't like using those additives but I don't have much of a choice.
Almost sure the seals inside are worn out and dry rotted like most C6s sound like they end up having.
