The LED back up lights are mounted, picked up a Harley Davidson windshield banner and got the exhaust welded up.

The back up lights have a plate behind them to protect them from rocks made from some z bar exterior trim for a house that I had left over cut it to an angle bar and mounted it. A little sharp on the edges but that's ok.

the body has a dent in the rear drivers side quarter panel, the drip rail has a small hole in it that I am going to have to fix, slight crack in the tailgate, and the dent in the fender but otherwise it is straight. The rear window also works perfect which from what I understand is hard to find.

Plan for it is a small lift and 33s, regear, clean it up really good with new paint and body work, and full led light conversion.
First though I plan to get it running so I can drive it once in a while as is and figure out all its issues.

Well finally found a C6 302 F150 with a good kickdown cable since mine was all frayed up. $5 and got her cleaned up and installed. Also tried putting the Harley Windshield banner on and that thing sucks so tore it off.

Used lightning to haul some stuff the neighbor gave me just some light stuff and brother while loading up a short bed ladder rack broke one of my slides for the bed rails that are plastic. Luckily it is the only one I don't use but now I have figure out a replacement for that maybe I will fab some metal ones once dad's welder gets here.

Also I got rid of the 89 Chevy that I was going to fix up in trade for a 83 Bronco 4x4 351W carbed C6. Now I get to play with a carbed truck. Plan for it is 4" lift 33s, 4.10s maybe, new MM or warn hubs, 9.5:1 with eldelbrock intake and eldebrock 650 carb, new cam, and some head work, rebuild C6, clean up the interior, paint it. I am the second owner of it. The truck sat for 13 years so the carb is shot, and rubber is shot otherwise the truck has a perfect body minus the rust on the tailgate (sitting caused it to destroy the seal for the back window and water rotted it out. Plan is to DD it switching between it and lightnin' and I plan to drive the bronco long distance more of.

Well a few more updates on my way home the other night from a night shift I was going down the highway and all of a sudden either a deer or horse not sure what it was jumped in front of the truck I had enough time to slam on the brakes (which they locked up since the ABS doesn't work) and also swerve around it but went into the ditch on the side of the road and hit the front end of the truck hard but was going so fast I was able to get back up on the highway. I stopped and luckily it didn't look like any damage was done. All the way home it drove fine minus the brakes pull to the right now but I am almost sure it is the left caliper being weak since soon I will have to do new brakes I will wait till then.

Today I jacked up the truck to check all the suspension and steering better and everything is good.

It did however make me realize that I am going to need radius arm bushings soon so got to get some money saved up for new brakes and bushings.

Glad the truck didn't have any other issues though I know if I were to have been driving the chevy I had it would have broke something.

After that today I took the heater ac controls out and replaced the bulb with a spare and it still didn't work so got my multimeter out and checked it no power to it. I was pulling the multi meter out when I saw a wire that was from the bulb harness to another harness was off.

took apart the farther part of the harness and sure enough it looked like the wire had never even been connected from the factory. It was never crimped down. So I connected it all and checked the lights and it worked! While I was in there I tightened a piece of the dash that had started rattling.

Well bein a really nice guy I had to help dad with a side job which included hauling more then I would have liked. Me and dad had both our F150s loaded down with 8x8x16 bricks all the way level with the bed. Lightnin' pulled it like nothing truthfuly I have never seen a 302 pull so good I was worried my 302 was going to be a dog. Also in the bed was 2 spare tires an in the cab was me and my brother. Funny part is she downshifted at the right times with the load but take the load off and she doesn't.

Dads F150 however did not pan out as well he got real squirlley and one wheel may be bent. He had less in his bed because of the truck box.

Every time I doubt Lightnin' she impresses me that much more. However not going to be doing anything like that again.

Going to get the zinc additive tonight for her next oil change since I have everything else and change the oil Thursday or so. Hopefully also pull all the plugs and gap them again maybe even go farther on the timing about 13 instead of 11.

Oil change done will have to wait till next day off to check the plugs and timing again.

While I was in there I rerouted some plug wires that I didn't like the look of how they were routed before.

Unfortunately the wiper motor is on its way out so that will have to be replaced before you know it.

Bought a steering wheel cover for Lightnin'. Checked timing and the plugs on her and she looks all good.
Then took her out mudding which was partially was to test out the tires. Got to clean the window at least till I can wash the truck next pay check. It did great never had to put her in 4x4. This was right while it started to rain.

Well had to park her last night 1st gear wouldn't engage. I have to finish a couple things on the 95 bronco and drive it while I start rebuilding the extra transmission I have. Good thing I picked up the 95 when I did.

Well past few days off I have had I got a bit of work done on my baby again.

Pulled the pan and cleaned the valve body out and she now will go into first gear but it is a little hesitant still every once in a while to go in not to bad but still not the best. At least she is drivable for me for back up when my new to me Colorado breaks. I got a 4x4 C6 transmission that is correct for this truck for free that I will be rebuilding and putting it in Lightnin' just had a little rough of a time getting over a hump having to buy another truck that is better on fuel since I drive a lot more now and something I know is a little more reliable since I am still trying to work out all the kinks and as everybody knows your project never is a good DD.

I also got the heater core lines replaced since they had a small pin hole and bled the brakes. Going to need a new booster as it feels like the brakes are weaker when the truck is running. I also fixed the heater staying on issue the vent door to the heater came off the valve I popped it back on and no more heater staying on.

Tuesday I got a new windshield that doesn't have pits going in and will also solve the leak that the previous idiots messed up on.

I am glad that I am able to drive her every once in a while and I was able to take her off road yesterday with my brothers and show them just why I love lightnin'. I know just how far I can push her without breaking something and just enough to have a good time.

New windshield and cleaned up the mess the last glass guys left. The company I used is very professional and I think I found my new glass company. Now I don't have to worry about a puddle on the passenger side floorboard.

Also I got the washer pump working right.

Decided to pull codes and do some check ups on her today. So she was a quart low on oil pretty sure it was from me pushing her pretty hard the past few weeks since I love the power compared to my 5 cyl in the Colorado. I drive Lightnin' 1-3 times a week. I haven't checked oil since last oil change.

The codes that I pulled:
11KOEO
33C (I know there is a vacuum leak somewhere and the brake booster is bad)
44R I did bypass the thermacter so knew this would happen.
25R not sure why the knock sensor code doesn't hurt anything though
52R forgot to turn the wheel forgot this truck had the PS switch

It did come in that order to. Next day off will check timing as I may change it some as I think it moved slightly.

Lastly I think my coil is getting a little weaker so might upgrade to a better one.

I am working as hard as possible to get these done before this time next year:
headers
all new brake parts and master and booster
paint her solid white with tractor enamel minus some black here and there
new drivers door hinges
start collecting parts to hook dual tanks back up
install my in bed tool box
finish hooking up back lights
fix vacuum leak
new coil

Long term goals:
15x8 wagon wheels off my 83 bronco nice and cleaned up
tonneau cover soft
tint windows
build my custom headlights
tint tail lights

Well I messed up ordering the wrong led interior bulbs for the Colorado. Luckily they fit Lightnin' so going to be putting red LED bulbs in the cluster an AC stuff. So going to be swapping that in hopefully soon.
