brake shoe width

Can anybody tell me if the shoe width for my rear brakes are 2.5 or 3 wide?
I'm thinking 3. I forgot to measure before I left for work and I'd like to pick up shoes on the way home so I don't have to go back out!
Thx

not to confuse the matter, but isn't one width for dual rear wheels and the other for single rear wheel? though, I want to say that DRW shoes are 3.25" or 3.5", but I may be wrong.

Rock auto's catalogue is usually my answer to questions like this.

DRW is 3.5"

not quite sure where 2.5" came from

They were 3" inch. put them on tonight. Fixed my grabby brake problem but now my ebrake is only barely engaging enough to stop on very slight incline. I wonder if I should try to adjust star wheels on both sides a little tighter. I don't see any other adjustment in the cables themselves.

Yeas, after a good couple hard stops, you want to readjust the rear brakes

Thanks. I'm starting to realize the joys of drum braking!
Adjust readjust...they do work really well though. Truck stops very nicely now.

Yeah, the self adjusters don't self adjust too well. But if you adjust them every oil change, you will be surprised at how well drum brakes work
