4.9L engine transplant harness Help?
Can anybody help me? I am about to transplant a 4.9L efi engine into my 1974 f250 bighboy. I need to know what I need to do to the engine elect. harsess to make it run in my truck.
I will have the intire donor truck so hopefully that will be enough.
Mounting the engine fuel system cooling system is not an issue for me. what I need help with is the wiring diagram side of the project. Just need to know all of what i will need from the harness to make it a stand alone system. Also need info on VSS, it will be mated to a zf-5 speed, will the VSS just need to be hooked up the tranny at the speedo cable?
Thanks in advance.
Nick.

i'm not an expert, but...just thinking particularly about the ignition system:
it'll depend on what year the EFI engine is.
for example- if its got a grey-module TFI ignition, you'll be getting your ignition dwell from the distributor.
if its a black-module (CCD) TFI ignition...it gets its igniton dwell from (gasp)...the computer.
i'm sure that's not the only consideration, its just the first one that came to mind.
