I have GOT to get a new rear bumper!

I hate the rear bumper on the X and know some have swapped to a newer bumper. My question is what year and what truck do they come off of, are they just straight bolt-on like the front and what is everyone paying for them average? Also post some pics up if you have

Yeah, the 2008 King Ranch rear bumpers look really nice on our rigs.

timf150 has one on his rig, but I just did a quick search and all his links to the pictures he previously posted are no longer working.

the backup sensors are the only "hard" part for putting a 2008+ bumper on

I've seen where guys have to redrill the holes. otherwise, it's a 100% bolt right up

When i put the 2008 rear bumper on my 99 super duty everything swaps over. There is 4 bolts that hold it on via the frame rails. The differences are where the spair tire hole is. My truck does not have parking sensors so not sure about that. If you have a tow package you may have to change the bracket for the connector end as well. It is a really straight forward proccess.

I put one of these on "Road rhino". it is winch ready if you want to install one. I had to drill the holes for the sensors but it wasnt that bad there is a little notch in then you have to make.

If he is doing that, it would be cheaper to save money to just buy a 4x4 diesel and sell his soon after.

It was more of a joke from a previous thread regarding 5.4 headers

Yeah, the diesel will never happen Wife and I just closed on our first house last week and there isn't a stove, refrigerator, or washer/dryer. My money isn't going to anything but the house for awhile. The rear bumper is a little different though, if I can find a good deal I'll make room in the budget somewhere If it weren't for the fact I got a special VA loan I would have had to buy all that BEFORE we closed and we would have had to skip the house

Also do I need the brackets like I did with the front swap or can I use the brackets form mine? Just trying to make sure I get everything at once and don't end up only having half the parts and having to stare at the bumper in the house until I can get the rest.

One last thing (For now). Are the KR bumpers the same except color or what? Do I just need to look for any 08+ bumper for now and try to get a good deal?

Our bumper does look really weird and mine is bent down so it looks horrible.
Reminds me of flat butted people that walk around with their pants down. LMAO

I got both front and rear from Road rhino. I got them raw and had a bodyshop paint them for me. I think the rear was like $600. I love both of them. They are heavy duty and winch ready.
