ZF S6-750 bellhousing info

I was trying to find some info on this but haven't come up with anything conclusive so I put this question forth based on my limited knowledge of the topic.
I know that the 6.0 PS/Torqshift 5-speed combo debuted in '03. I know they essentially used the Triton engine bellhousing pattern, which was fine for the auto, but left too little room for a clutch, so I remember reading somewhere that when the manuals came out, they just took the VT-365 from the International line without the modified rear plate for the Ford auto applications, meaning the engine would have bolted up to a standardized SAE#2 bellhousing, so the 6-speed tranny ZF built has the SAE#2 bellhousing used on medium duty applications. Anyone able to verify that this is/isn't the case? I have an idea I would like to test out, just hoping to find out if they have the SAE#2 pattern, and if so, does it bolt up to any engine with an adapter to accept the SAE#2? Also, are there two different torque ratings for this tranny like the S6-650 for the 7.3 powerstroke? The 6.0 was rated for 560/570 tq depending on year, and the manual 6.4 was rated at 600 tq with a stick AFAIK. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

EDIT: If anyone knows where to find the info I seek here on FTE and you want to direct my attention, I would be very grateful! Also I believe these tranny's have 34-spline outputs for 4x4's, ANY info on this tranny would be most appreciated. Thanks in advance!

This is a very interesting question for which I will answer to the best of my knowledge. As a Ford dealer tech since 2000, I KNOW the 4.6L/5.4L/6.8L engines all have the same 7 bolt bellhousing bolt patterns, which is very similar to the ones on the 6.0L/6.4L engines as you already mention. However, the ZF6 manual transmissions were also used on the 5.4L and 6.8L gas engines as well since 2003 as far as I know. That said, it would be news to me that there wouldn't be any room for a clutch if it so happened that the 6.0L/6.4L engine were to use the same pattern. However, they also do NOT use the same SAE #2 pattern either. Here's proof of that:
As you can see in the video of that engine running, that engine rear cover is most definitely NOT identical to the rear cover used on a manual transmission application 6.0L/6.4L engine like the one pictured in the sixth picture of post #42 in the thread below:

Hopefully, I've clarified a few points here with my response. May I ask what is the purpose of your questions?

I had heard that they ran them with an SAE#2 bellhousing, I was just trying to find out if it was true or not, and it seems the answer is not. Also, just looking at the pics, it doesn't look like there is room for a much bigger clutch with the Powerstroke, and the PS runs a 13" clutch, whereas an SAE#2 bellhousing has room for a 14" clutch with room to spare. Kind of puts a nail in the coffin of that theory. This is the first real info on this that I have gotten thanks for the info.

Also, I wasn't saying there wasn't enough room in the Triton housing for a clutch, just not a 13" one which is what the PS uses. So, the manuals have a different pattern than the automatics, which is close to being a Triton pattern.

Also, IIRC the Triton engines use the S6-650, which was used in Chebbies (ugh!) and 7.3 PS equipped trucks. The tranny used behind the 6.0/6.4 is the S6-750, with a higher torque rating.
