Exclamation 6.0 no start

I have an 05 6.0l ran fine all day. Stopped shut the truck off went into the store and came back out and truck would not start. Tore the truck apart found that the o ring on the oil cooler cap was all chewed up and chunks went through the oil hole through the screen and went I guess through the hpop to the ipr valve the screen on the ipr valve was collapsed and had a piece of it logged into the ipr. I replace the ipr valve replaced the o ring around the cooler cap and cleaned out all the chunks of o ring. After putting it all back together it still would not start. Is it possible the hpop got the chunks in it and might be clogged? Any insight would be great thanks!

Do you have something to see OBDII data for ICP/IPR values? If so, what kind of numbers are you getting?

Welcome to FTE! Nice screen name.

No I do not I did do a test I found in another thread on this site with the icp sensor that said to put a multi meter to two of the three wires going into the icp sensor to see what voltage is coming out. They said if its .80 or higher then it's 500 psi or higher oil pressure. Mine was read over 80 not sure if that's accurate or not

I'm with ya now, sorry I have no Imagination. As far as something staying in side the HPOP, I'd bet against it.

Worse Case it went into the Injector Spool Valves and is raising Havoc there

But you could Pull the Spool valves out and clean them

We would crank it about 10 seconds at a time. We crank it when ever we are checking other things like making sure it's getting fuel and all. What exactly are the injector spool valves, what kind of damage could it cause there?

I traded my 6.7l cummins in for a 6.0. I'm starting to wander if it was a smart move or not

a couple 30 second cranks it should Go

These are Tuff Starters

As Long as its Not Really Hot

Iv seen Lots of Gys just lay on the starter till is Runs no Issue

If you can Put you hand on starter Go for it

They take a lot of crank to fill that stuff Back Up

After you know you hit 90 seconds or so and it still wont go we can deal with it
