wiper motor wiring

Hey guys, i have a 1966 f250. i bought a new wiper motor the other day. my problem is the old motor has 3 wires and the new one has four wires. and except red and black the other colors dont match. the old motor was 2 speeds as is the new one. and seems no matter what way i try the motor only moves a tiny bit.. Help is greatly needed.. Thank you.

I had a look at the one-speed system I recently removed. It has three wires to the motor. The two-speed I installed has four wires. My guess is that if you put a two-speed switch in the system you'll have wipers again.

Frankin, I suspect there is a ground wire on the replacement that wasn't there before. Bet we can get a suggestion on how to test it with a meter.
