How many miles are you getting out of the tires?

No such thing. The best tire for me may be worthless for you.

I'm running Cooper AT/3. Great tread, aggressive but quiet and inexpensive.

When you say wear, what kind do you have? I have a couple fleet F350's I maintenance, at least 2 are having the same or similar issue. On the one I'm working on now, a 4X2, the tires have a mix of the "feathering" and maybe "toe" wear. There's no play in the wheels so I'm not replacing tie rods or ball joints, but putting in some Rancho top of the line shocks ($250 for pair) and replacing steering damper as well.

I'm also interested in what others have to say about which tires to get, but how many others have that horrendous kind of wear I aforementioned? What kind of fixes or parts installed? I will post a pic of what I described later in the day.

I also do fleet maintenance and we recently switched all of our one ton truck ford,Chevy and dodge(ram) to Nitto terra grapplers and our tire life has increased from 35000km to about 50000km. Our truck see a good mix of highway and off road use and are usually carrying a close to fuel payload of fuel for our equipment hope that help.

I have dealt with this wear several time and your idea of replacing shocks and steering dampers should fix the problem as long as there is no alignment issue . I would check around for different shocks though I have had some terrible luck with rancho shocks lately like lasting less than 10000km on an 08 f350 . I ended up using BDS shock way cheaper and hold up better plus they have a great warranty.

f350 tires

well folks here it is,I have run toyo M55's on all my trucks (8) have always got 100,000 at least, even as a younger man with a much heavier foot. So I put a set on my 06, 6.0L, and notice some wear after only a few thousand Kms. so like a good ford owner I started with shocks, I now run ranchos on all four corners and a dampner, still didnt notice any slow up in the wear. now after ball joints, front hubs, and rotors (because I had taken them off so many times.) new rims, six or seven rotations and 85,000 kms. the tires need to be replaced. I put it down to that big ole ever loving power stroke out front, and was just curious if it was just the wrong tire for the truck and maybe there was a better tire out there.I now see it may just be something I have to put up with for owning the best damn truck on the road today!
