Rear Door Lock Actuator-Replacement

Has anyone else replaced the actuators on the rear door locks? Both of my rear door locks are bound up pretty hard to the point that I can barely open them with my fingers. I haven't been able to open them with the lock switches for quite some time. For now I would just like to find affordable replacement actuators. A couple local Ford dealers want about $250 EACH and I haven't had much luck online. Does anyone have a source for these online?

I'm not 100% sure, but the ones from front doors should be the same. Maybe find a regular cab truck in a junk yard and try those.

Well, I have found some online that specify for front doors that are much cheaper, around $40ish.

I can't really see them using different ones in the rear, but ya never know. I'm gonna find out on of these days if they are the same. I need to pull some from some doors I have. I have a problem with one of my back doors, and a buddy does too.

If I can find some compatible actuators I'd like to have a remote entry system installed.

I think the rear actuators are different but I am not sure. Part # for rear doors from ford very expensive. 26594
Part # for front doors 218A42 not so expensive.

They are very different.more like the older fox mustang ones but high torque.I retrofitted a mustang unit in but it did not have the poop to pop..remove the actuators ant the locks will free up..no power but I'm not spending 600$ for power locks!!!!

The cheapest I have found them online is around $500 for a pair of them and that is with a 20% from AutoZone. Not good.

The rears are very different, but if you have the old rod you can just swap them out.

Per Ford the correct part # for my truck is E7TZ-3526594-A. When I searched online for "Ford door actuator" I found a similar part # for an Aerostar that is a hell of a lot cheaper and looks identical, #E69Z-1126594-A. No clue if they are interchangeable.

That pic will be just like fox mustang,tempo,ranger...pretty much anything BUT cc. Try something and see if you can get it to work. I had no luck. I'm kind of starting to think my rr latch may be jacked up.

Looks like when were in the junk yard searching if we run across a cc we should look to see if the actuators are there and put up for later. I have one that acts up every now and then.
