The speaker bolts to the bracket which is attached through the radio control ***** through the dash.

But what do the two ears bolt to on the sides?

Yes, Bill, you appear to be correct. I forgot about those tabs. Looks like they're positioned to be attached to two of the bolts that attach the speaker trim to the dash.

Ok, so I mounted the radio without the speaker bracket. Will have to put the speaker behind the kick panel.
Had to move the Heater cable because of the radio.
Now all I need are the condenser values to eliminate engine interference. Anyone have an idea where to find the info?
Also, if the speaker magnet contacts the metal body, will this create a problem?
If so, if I put an aluminum plate between the magnet and body, would this alleviate the problem?
