Question "New" 06 F-150

Just bought an '05 F-150 - V6 - AT - A/C - bed liner ..... Think the "carpet" was replaced with a vinyl floor mat ( slicker). Have a few "add-ons" removed from an earlier '75 Ford. Would like to know IF there are/were bumper guards for the front bumper of this model ? Also have a set of tie-down "cleats' that will be installed. Was impressed when I noticed disc brakes on the rear. Also looking for specs on this truck = NO manuals, etc. The factory rims are Ok, but will change them to 'Old School" Chrome Reverse when $$ allows.

Nope on the bumper guards. Try googling 2006 F150 on the images tab, lots of my questions got answered that way without having to wait for a reply in a forum. My 2006 came with the tie down cleats in the bed. One got bent in an accident but it did hold, replacement cost on eBay was low enough to make it not worth arguing with an insurance adjuster. Been 4 years and still haven't bothered changing it out, it still works fine just don't look right.

in-bed tiedowns

The F-150 I jus bought has "tie-downs" in the corners of the bed, and a drop-in bed liner, with the top bed rails also covered. I have a set of 'Ford-type' tie-downs that I got at Harbor Freight that I intend on installing outside the bed, as there used to be on the older trucks. These look exactly like the 'older' Ford tie-downs. I will not be using the normal rivnuts, instead , will be using chromed / countersunk bolts and LARGE washers inside the bed walls. (MORE bearing surface and NO pull-out) THEN a complete undercoating.

If you have an 'XL' model I think they came with vinyl flooring.
