About 50,000 miles or so ago my wife put gas in the tank of my personal F-350. I drained the fuel, flushed the lines and that was it. Truck has been tuned with the 210 TP or higher tunes since about 10,000 miles where on the clock from new. Haven't had any issues with the fuel system since with over 100,000 on the clock.

I have two F-450 fleet trucks that have been exposed to gas in the tank, one is a 09, one is a 2010. I have a 3,000 gal on road diesel, 1000 gal off-road tank and a 500 gal gasoline tank in my equipment yard all clearly label don't see how the employees can make the mistake but at any rate one truck has about 20,000 miles since the issue and the other has about 80,000 since the issue, both have had no issues with the fuel systems since.

One of my close friends has a 2010 F-250 about 32,000 miles ago his girlfriend filled the truck with gas. We towed the truck to our shop and we drained the fuel, flushed the lines and changed the filters. He has been running the spartan 275 tunes since the truck was new and now has 75,000 miles total on the truck with no issues.

My current f550 box truck had unleaded put in by the previous owner and they had to replace the entire motor at the tune of $16900 from Ford. They put unleaded in the new motor but caught it in time and had it towed and drained/filters changed for $800-900. I purchased the truck 1,000 miles after replacement and have had a few problems but may be unrelated.

Hey, thanks for the bump, I meant to do that every so often but it got away from me. What we don't have so far is anyone who cleaned up the gas and kept driving only to have a hard failure later. Not a big enough sample so far to draw and conclusions though.

I take it there was no metal in the fuel bowl? Darn lucky.

Try the fuel cutoff switch on the passenger side of the dash. Open the door and on the side of the dash is the fuel door. See if it is tripped.

I did that, but no joy. Thanks.

Another green handled BP pump. Put in some Diesel Kleen, and 3/4 tank of gas. 20 miles down the road engine started sputtering and I realized what I had done. Towed to a Ford dealership, purged tank, changed filters and no problems since. That was 30k ago. Oil analysis is reading a little high on iron though.

Looks like you got lucky! For what it's worth, nothing that your fuel touches is oil lubricated. So the high iron has nothing to do with misfueling.
