Not idling up anymore.

Got the stalling problem fixed with a new CPS.

Now for a two year old problem, that never really caused a problem.

The engine won't idle up when it sits in the drive way. When the truck was new, it would idle up after the engine got warm enough to not knock.

Any suggestions.

It should idle up when it is cold. The Exhaust Back Pressure Valve should close and the truck should go into high idle if it is sitting and you aren't on the brake pedal. Is hat what you mean? If so, I would bet the EBPV is stuck.

are you running an after market air cleaner? if so, did you take the sensor out of the stock air box and plug it back in to the wires. that sensor being gone will not let the truck go into high idle.

Yes. A while back I read that it also kicks up to help cool the engine. My memory is kinda worn out. I can't remember if it actually kicked up when warm.

I've got a K&N. But it has been in there since day one. Never removed any sensor from the air box.

My K&N is just a rectangle replacement for the original paper element. Same stock airbox.

Glad to hear the CPS fixed your stalling issue.

As far as this problem goes; I may be way off here, but could it have anything to do with a clogged EBP Tube and/or sensor? Again, kind of a shot in the dark.

Most people here are not big fans of that K&N filter. I know this is something not necessarily to the point of your issue, but the factory air box is known to not seal properly and that allows dirt into your turbo which is not good.

K&N killed my turbo, will never use that again.
