2010 Expedition Not Starting/TCM Com issue?
2010 Expedition will not start and has "Service AdvancedTrac" on display.
History:
I have not driven this car for about two weeks. When I did I noticed the battery was dead so I replaced the battery with a new one and it would not crank/Start. I shorted the started and got it running enough to get it into my garage. No speed Odometer, drives in 3rd no shifting very slowly. Display indicates issues with Parking aide, and "Service AdvancedTrac". When I ODB the car, the only Code is U0101 which means it can not communicate with the TCM module.
Any clues? Where can I located this module?
It is 6K out of warranty so now this problem is mine to fix.

The tranny control module is probably integrated with the engine control module, called the powertrain control module. it should be on the passenger side firewall. it could be that all that needs to be done is clear the trouble codes in the vehicle, there is probably a dozen or so related to low voltage that might be preventing it from running properly. it sounds like it's in limp mode. unless you have a mega $$ scanner, you won't be able to go into every module and clear the dtc's. if it truly can't communicate with the pcm, then start by checking your fuses, maybe there's 1 or 2 blown

Appartently the TCM is located inside the transmission. There is a huge bundle of cables on the passenger side that connects to the rear right of the transmission. I checked power, groung and the can signals. All of those are there. All of the fuses are ok, so the next stop is the dealer. According to the dealer these things are never suppose to loose power and both the ECM and TCM might just need re-flashed.
You really can not work on todays cars in your own garage anymore.
