Yeppers I remember the day the signs all got changed, and for many months after that the sign in book at their treatment plants and such still had the old name.

I deleted mine for FUN!

Added reliability is a nice bonus as well.

My buddy just picked up a 2011 6.7 with 65K miles on it, talk to me about what a tune would do to avoid the annoying emissions sensor shut downs......

He's driving all over New England doing warranty work on houses and is towing his tools around and carrying debris in the bed from jobs. Anything that could possibly avoid a large bill to replace BS equipment along with a 1mpg improvement and some smoother power would always be welcome.

Obviously if there is a thread that I could read that would be a good summary please let me know, no reason to reinvent the wheel.

Thanks, Steve

I just finished up installing all the usual delete stuff today. Just running around on the regular H&S tunes the power is unreal. I cant wait to get some free time to start learning the MCC software. I deleted for the simple fact of "less is more". Emissions equipment does not improve efficiency, reliability, or performance.

To get rid of the emission (EGR and PDF) stuff, which put the truck on a weight watchers diet. I've done this to all my other trucks too. I just like to play around.

Once you start its hard to stop. There’s always something that cane been done.

Didn't do mine because of the extra power. Did it to get rid of all the extra crap and headache that can possibly arise for it. After owning a deleted 6.4, this truck isn't in the same ballpark in that aspect. Mileage is up 1-1.5 mpg. Sounds better to.

With h&s you can set it to be clean (lbf 1) or you can blow smoke everywhere with it set at a 5.

I had mine at a 3 for a while and even that was pretty clean

Depends on size of the tune. Still on the lowest tune with my Spartan and it barely hazes when you mash on it.

What spartan tune you run? Had two guys tell me they get 26mpg at 65 mph with 3.55 rear and the 640hp(or close I forget) tune. I didn't believe the first guy but then another guy said the same thing so now I'm curious, lol!

40hp. Their computer may tell them they are getting 26, but that ain't happening. Two tanks ago, I got a hand calculated total of 21.2 mpg (3.55 gears and stock tires). I was impressed. Best I could get stock was 19.4.

The most the 6.7 can make with just a tune is 550hp, even at that the trucks fuel line will be empty on a 1/4 mile run. The stock fuel system and turbo can't support any more power. Pretty sure those guys were blowing smoke up your ***.

I thought the same of the first guy but the second guy didn't even know the first guy and he said the same thing so I was like wtf, lol! They are also emissions deleted if that makes a difference. Not sure what other upgrades.
