I've searched hi and low for the answer to my tire and spacing issues-2006 DRW 4WD
I've searched this forum for more than a month, as well as other places, and spoken with the local tire shop, and I cannot find the right answer.
2006 F350, DRW, 4WD. I am adding +2 1/2" springs in front, possibly one leaf in the rear to bring it up a little.
I am going to run 315/70R17s on the stock rims. I do haul fairly regularly, but never more than 10,000. I obviously do not want the tires to rub.
I've been told/read, no spacers needed, 2" spacers needed, 2 1/2" spacers needed, and even 3" spacers needed.
I will either machine or buy steel hub-centric/wheel-centric spacers, and of course high quality studs.
Can anyone give a definite answer as to what spacer is needed? If they are readily available, I will buy. If not, or they are crazy expensive, I will make them.
I appreciate any/all help. This has been nearly impossible to figure out definitively.
And if the correct answer is out there, I apologize. I sure haven't seen it.

dual wheels66, I was running ProComp Xtreme A/T LT37/13.50/17D discontinued as of 4 yrs ago. MKW Model 26 rims discontinued. I am unable to post any photos at this time. The right front ProComp tire sidewall torn up due to blowout at 45 mph on 1 Nov 2012. Look at google search Ford F-350 Dual rear wheel spacers. You might have some luck.

I really don't want to use spacers. I am looking to fill up the wheel wells a little more without a lift, the stock tire look so little. I was looking at he 265's and thought they would work on stock wheels. I thought 285's would rub each other and that's not a good thing. I am in no rush for tires, these factory Generals are a nice tire, very pleased so far. I have just over 8,000 miles on the truck so I have a little time yet.

dualwheels66, I pulled off my outside dual today the spacer that is on my F-350 is as
follows:
Spacer 3 inch width
Spacer with small flange over axle 3-3/4 inches
Spacer with studs total width 4-1/2 inches
The rim size I am running on the Ford are 17" 6.5J 8 Lugs
I hope this will help.
