Yep, the driver's side back brake rotor is stuck on the hub even after the caliper and brackets are removed. The inside brake pad broke loose and stuck between the caliper and the rotor. Making a God awful noise and must have created enough heat to "weld" the rotor to the hub.

I soaked it down with oil two nights in a row and tonight I will employ the torch (with an extinguisher handy of course) and hammer method to try and remove it.


Wish me luck! I hate being down to only one vehicle...

Good Luck!!! I hate being down to only 1 vehicle... especially if the EX isn't one of them!

Ugh...one side off, but now it looks like I may have issues with the calipers...=-[

Success! No caliper issues, just a little air in the lines. Brakes are better than they have ever been. Now I need to save for new springs, oil cooler, and head studs...I'm having a blast working on this truck!
