Looking at 06 F350 5.4 Question

Is there any way to tell if the seller has "reset" any check engine light?
My buddy told on Dodges you can cycle the key a few times and get a "blinking light" code. Can something similar be done on an 06 F350 5.4?

Not as far as I know but any serious issues should resurface within a short test drive if the code had been cleared. However make sure the check engine light shows up when you turn the key to make sure they haven't removed the bulb or its burned out

Ok, thank you! That's what I thought. I'd never heard of it and couldn't find anything in a search...other than some earlier models.
