Good suspension shop in WA State??
I live in Alaska and am taking my truck to Seattle to fly back east for a few weeks. I'd like to leave my truck at a quality lift shop while I am gone and get a lift installed and then drive back to Alaska. Is there a good shop that someone can recommend.
And now for stupid question time:
I'm looking at 35" tires and assume that a 4-6" inch lift will be fine. At what point does a lift start causing drive train problems.. 6", 8"?? I don't want any problems with long term reliability so was thinking of staying at 4" to lessen my chances.
What lift should I get to not reduce my trucks carrying capacity? I haul motorcycles and often fill up the bed with stuff, and don't want to lose what legal weight capacity my 3/4 ton has.
What will a quality 4-6" lift cost with 35" tires and new rims cost?? Ball park figures, anyone??
What's the best bang for the buck 4", 6" or heaven forbid 8"?? I use my truck as a daily commuter, long trips with the family, and the occasional hunting/dirt road journey, knowing this what is the best size lift to get or is a lift not advisable in the first place??
I've never lifted a truck and do not know how to do it myself and have no experience as to which brand is the most reliable and troublefree.
p.s. I have previously posted about getting an extended warranty, but decided to use the money for the warranty on a lift and pray the truck doesn't break.

Thanks JetJock for the reply,
I saw your truck in your gallery, very nice truck. Like yours mine is a 2001 crew cab with the V10, did you have to regear yours and if so what gear did you go with? Also I saw that you had a quad and towed with your truck, so I assume that you had no reduction in the amount of weight that you can carry or tow due to your lift. Last question are you in California? Looks like it from the sand, I was stationed in LA lived in Orange County before this tour in Alaska, I miss being able to take the dirt bikes to the dry lake beds, etc. Not much riding room in the little town that I currently call home.
Have fun

i had to re-gear, with 36's i went 4.56 gears... just about right.. for pulling any real weight 4.88s would be better.. if i had it to do over again id go 4.88s.. im in TX, those dunes are in TX.. Load Capacity? no matter what you do to your truck(your weight rating is made up of your springs vs. your gears)... ive regeared and resprung.....but the cops are always goinna hold you to what the sticker on the door jam says... so legally you dont lose or gain.. as for how it performs.. the heavest thing i haul is a car trailer with a celica in it... my 12" ATLAS springs sink about 1" and ride fine.. i dont know what is would do if i really loaded it down.. seems like it could hold as much as stock. I lived in WA for many years.... they dont have big 4x4 shops like they do in TX or FL.. any good mech. could put a lift on for ya if you ordered it.. but its not too complicated to do your self.. Les Schwab will do it and stand behind there work...
good luck
