A 54k mile 1970 Ranger Followed me Home Yesterday

Have not broke the news to wife yet but a nice '70 Ranger followed me home yesterday. Was thinking it may find its way to previous owner so failed to tell the wife yet . . .

Some cool options
390 V-8

Built in Kansas

435 NP

3.54 Dana 60

Sold new here in Phoenix @ Read Mullan Motor Co

Ranger Package
Deluxe Tutone Paint
7.50 x 16-8 Ply Rated Black Sidewall Tires
Spare Tire
Front Disc Brakes
Air Conditioner
Manual AM Radio
Tinted Glass
25 Gallon Frame Moutned Fuel Tank w/Standard Tank
Heavy Duty Front SPrings
Heavy Duty Rear Springs
Camper Package

Nice part is it has only accumulated 54000 miles since new.

It was purchased for camping use then the original owner became ill and parked it in his back yard where it just sat for years collecting dust.

Tires aired up fine but after going 20' they simply came apart.

Still original paint~interior etc Mojave Tan~Wimbledon White Combo
Parchment Interior.

Because the camper had been left on since new the box looks nearly new.

What can I say if they follow me home? I have a few others that have followed me home. I saw a nice Copper colored 66' drive by obvious trying to find the rest of the pack. It will probably show tomorrow . . .

Pretend pictures . . .lol

The '70 Ranger is 100% original paint and still very nice with exception of a minor bump in left fender.

What I was told are the original tires are in the box. 5 with split or Loc-Bead type wheels

Also have 3 of the original hub caps. I was told the 4th cap was damaged when it was backed into.

Original miles is 54,532

Nice rig!

Is that primer gray, or just sun faded white?

I like the "patina" on the rear bumper...

1968/72 F250 2WD & F350 available with optional dual piston caliper disc brakes.

Be careful: There are different types of these hubcaps, they're either argent with black painted accents or stainless steel with black painted accents.

And, there are "innies" and "outies." 1967/69 F250/350's could be either. 1969/74 E300 - 1970/77 F250/350 - 1975/77 E250/350 are outies.

1970/72 Ranger/Ranger XLT's have 3 5/8" wide upper side mouldings. Rangers have black painted inserts, Ranger XLT's have 'walnut wood' grained inserts.

Ranger tailgate finish panel has a black insert, Ranger XLT insert is 'walnut wood' grained. The 'walnut wood' is a decal, similar to what Country Squires used.

Thanks ND!
Have not looked at caps yet. Still in box sitting in back of truck the previous owner set in there. Did not think this version came with the woodgrain.

A lot of elbow grease needed to get these moldings back in shape.
