Nice find! I've encountered a couple of those but they're always dented.
Btw, it takes longer to find something if you're actually searching for it. And when you're not searching for it... BAM! There it is.
Here's my "BAM!" after three years. The seats were a bonus... it's the brackets I was looking for.

What XLT emblems? These 3 5/8" wide upper mouldings, tailgate finish panel are from 1970/72 Rangers, as they have painted black inserts. Ranger XLT's came with walnut wood grained inserts (decals).

Must you have precision on every freakin thing? Somethings are very annoying.
I bet 99% of the members here new exactly what I was referring to.

Are you being real? Or are you wanting exact description and location of emblems? SHHHEEEEZZZ These emblems are on the back of bed just above side trim, they say RANGER XLT

If I hadn't said anything...who else would have stepped up and pointed out the differences?
1970/72 F100/250: If the mouldings and tailgate finish panel have black inserts, they're from a Ranger, not a Ranger XLT, that has wood grained inserts.
Wouldn't you assume that members would want to know the correct applications? Maybe you and HIO don't care, but I do.
And speaking of precision, in the past you've called me from junkyards, sent me pics of parts you bought, to find out PRECISELY what they fit, so you could sell them on ebay and at swap meets.
I don't give a s**t about self aggrandizement, I want people to know what fits what! Obviously you don't and are going to pass these mouldings off as Ranger XLT's.
And btw, your 'Patton quote' is not only worded wrong, but there's no proof that Patton himself ever said any such thing.
George C. Scott as Patton spoke these lines during the opening scene of the movie, filmed at Patriotic Hall in downtown LA and the scene depicts the WRONG upcoming invasion!
The film is based on "The Patton Papers" written by Martin Blumenthal & "Patton, Ordeal and Triumph" written by Ladislas Farago. This quote is not in either of these books.

Nice score once again Robert all I got to say is wtf why can't there ever be a old ford in a junkyard around here only saw 2 in the yards in the past couple years and they were stripped clean. Not getting into the middle of y'all's argument you's both have great information and have helped me in the past. but i always like getting the right information and application of parts even when I'm wrong and need corrected I try putting it into my forgetful memory and use it when others need help

Well Mr. annoying N.D. these are Ranger XLT moldings. Everything on this truck is Ranger XLT. including the glove box emblem.
These side moldings are wood grain as well as the tail gate panel.
And as for your comment about "And btw, your 'Patton quote' is not only worded wrong, but there's no proof that Patton himself ever said any such thing." If your not sure and obviously your not, then shut your pie hole. I haven't called you from a wrecking yard in years. You always have to be right even when your wrong. It's so sad when your only friends are Bassett Hounds.
Here, when someone tries to be your friend, you have to remind them of what you have done for them constantly. Your an arrogant mule who is not right. "Literally"
