saved a nutter Ford F1 today, bringin her home soon

Guys, i had coffee today with a buddy of mine, after coffee he asked if I had time to go for a little ride, I said sure I have time, soo we drive around for a few mins, and pulling into this guys drive way,(had no clue this guy and my friend where friends) anyways my buddy seen a few old cars out side this guys barn, he said Im goin to stop and ask there for sale , anyways this ol guy walks out and I then found out they where friends lol, anyways my buddy (this guy had an ol ford in his barn 1948 F1) he goes on to tell me I know you have a old truck I have one in my barn, if you want it you can have it for $350.00 I go inside this nice barn, and heres is super clean Texas F1, (no bed or running boards) has a 226 Flathead, all the glass the windows roll up and down, floor pans in the truck are mint, the bottoms of the doors are not rusted out, truck is all there but the box, even has an original seat that looks brand new, guy pulled it out of the truck, even thing is pure original in this truck, I even turned over the fan with my hand and it turned to lower cam shaft so that tells me the motor is free and moving, plus the other parts the guy has hes givin me with the truck are new old stock, new old stock front grill,

now for the sad part =( Im going to sell my other F1 to buy this one, But owell

I'll post pics asap

Go out and buy a lottery ticket while you're at it. You have stumbled upon a deal of the century.

This one sold today at auction in central IL. for $1700. I was listening to the auction on-line. The auctioneer said it was last run in 2003.

Just something to compare to.
