I hit on this in another thread but it is worthy of its very own.
If you drive a vehicle equipped with a MAF sensor than you better think twice about modifying or replacing the intake tubing where it connects to the MAF, the MAF is calibrated using the factory intake tubing and is real sensitive to airflow changes in and around it, especially the entrance to the MAF sensor, putting a bigger pipe or maybe mounting a filter pod on it might seem cool but will totally destroy the factory calibration and the engine will not run as it was once intended, if the price of having the MAF re-calibrated does not bother you then make all the changes you want but now you know the real deal..
