Governed Ford Holley Question

My buddy pulled a Holley off an F-600 truck with a 370. It has cable linkage for a PTO, and a governor. We're trying to figure out if it's worth keeping, or just put in the junk pile. Has to be a unique part, but doubt there's any demand. What to you think ???

Unless someone needs it for another F600, I'd put it in the junk pile. There's nothing really performance oriented on these carbs. They're built strictly for low RPM operation.
If you go to buy one they are ungodly expensive but don't have much use outside of heavy truck or industrial engines.

I agree about putting it in the junk pile, but don't throw it away. When repairing other Holleys you might can use the fuel bowls or other parts.

GREAT advice, thanks !!! Second question, the primary has some LARGE boosters..what does that do, make it more responsive at low rpm's ?

That would be my guess. These engines run at a relatively low RPM so needed the larger venturi boosters to repond to the slower flow velocity.
