My 1988 f250 7.3 diesel . I fixed my starting problem. But
Now I move on to a odd one. First my rear tank full of fuel would let the truck die. Like it was out of fuel. Now the front tank is doing the same thing. I can start the truck up and drive a mile or to , then it starts chugging. I can switch tanks back and forth for a few miles but it will eventually die. after an hr. I can do it all over again. Now note the rear tank went bad 6 months be for the front tank started acting bad. Could the tank switch cause this problem ? or would it be in the tanks . I don't see how it could be any thing after the tank switch. because the front tank did not give me any trouble for at least 6-8 months after the rear tank went bad. And i am down to less than a $100. I've spent a grip under the hood this week did the fuel kit on top new g plugs, starter, starter relay, G.P. controller, G.P. relay. bla. bla. bla. I am broke. If you or some one you think could help please let me know. Thank you very much for you time, Joe

My Starting Problem Is Solved
The wire that powers the glow plug controller had a brake in it . Put a new wire in and DONE. And my fuel problem solved. It turned out to be a combination of problems , two main problem. First was tank filter screen . The second was lift pump. It probably went bad because of the screens in the tanks. The pump I bought at O'Riellys has gone bad , replaced it and have a strange new problem That I just Posted. I want to thank everyone for your help. It was very help full and very much appreciated ! Thank you for the time you took to help some one you do not even know. This is a very cool site. Thank you, Joe O'Leary
