Picked up a 63 unibody

Hi guys, I picked up a 63 uni the other day for $400 so thought I would share, Im not really new to site was just in the newer stuff. Always wanted one of these trucks so now the fun begins. Has the 292 and a 4 speed but think it was originally a 3 speed on column. But Im not using that motor or trans, I have a nice built 351w roller motor and a built AOD trans laying in the shop. Also I already picked up a 03 crown vic police front suspension that will be swapped in. Also a guy has a 8.8 rear disc brake rear from a v8 explorer these have 31 spline axle and limited slip centers and nost of the time 3.73 or 4.10 gears. Anyway I will have to do some front floor repairs and cab mount repairs. I am getting a windshield next week and am going to order the rubber kit for the windshield, doors and back window from LMC. Hope to here any info and opinions you guys mite have. I have most of the tools to get the job done so hopefully its a fun project. Thanks

What type off rear wheel can you fit with that 96 cv rear. The guy I got the front suspension which was 03 had the rearend to but It was pretty wide I know up to 02 they are narrower. Thats why Im mite check out the explorer one I was talking about, I like to fit a 10 wide wheel in back.

Awesome I want to run some bullit wheels or a torque thrust wheel with 17s in front and 18s in rear but we will see how that goes. Plan is to get it on the road this summer and work on it while being able to drive it. All the work will be done myself besides paint but may try it on this one. Thanks for the reply Do you have pics of your truck in your gallery.

Looks like a fun project for sure! Doesn't seem to be much rust. What part of the country did you find it? How's the custom gauges in the dash look?

In Nebraska where Im from Im actually surprised it isn't rusted worse, Part of the front floors on both sides need work and the cab mounts are still there just need some work and small spot on pass side box that can be easily cut out and weld new piece in. Gauges actual were fitted good I wondered if they were stock but dont think so.

No stock guages there but has always been a perfect place for them. Black or Red are always safe choices on the dash color...

Well got it off the trailer and cleaned all the crap out of the box, had 3 extra rims and tires in back that I don't need lol. The 3 speed trans was in the box along with a 64 grill an extra drivers wheel well and the piece that goes between the hood and grill with all the F-O-R-D letters and a bunch of garbage. Hopefully within the week I can pull front clip off and also get the 292 out. That 64 grill was all white I redid it today to sell it. Heres few more pics.
