In both cases, Ford made the basic truck and a coach house turned them into crewcabs.

When Ford introduced their own Crew Cabs mid year 1965, they did the same thing. Converted them from Regular Cabs, ditto 1967/72's.

I'll bet you a sweet ice tea that Ford sent them out as well, meaning they didn't roll off Ford assembly lines as complete crew cabs.

^ I believe that ford did it all in house like mentioned mid year 65 started rolling off the Canadian factory line crews were born

Crown and others continued to modify stock truck well in to the 80s. C87B yours is a 66 F250 four wheel drive cab that was stretched by Crown.
