Honestly, guys, How would this look?
A bed like this on a 2004 extended cab 4x4? I'll post a pic in a few. It won't let me post an attachment.

Here's my truck. If I don't go with a stepside, (If I can find one) I'm thinking a low profile utility bed.

Where old meets new(er)....
Not a fan of it personally. What's wrong with the current bed? Or are you just looking for something different?

If you are looking for a place to step along the side of the bed, it'd probably be less expensive, and certainly easier to just mount a set of nerf bars with a 3rd step in front of the wheel well.
But if you're just looking to do something different with the truck, then it's your truck, change it how you like it.

Kinda almost looks like a utility body on it. I do kinda like the fenders. But the box sides aren't appealing.

Why not build a flat bed with headace rack, boxes and some steps? Would be better than that and more useful.

I was thinking if you costumed it out, kinda like what Chip Foose would do clean up some of the rough lines, nice coat of paint, that won't look to bad.

IMHO...for it to look custom in a good way...I'd think you'd need to modify the bed wheel well to look like the front.
Lots of $$$...but might look really cool.
