Converting manual to Power seats
I have a 2000 F250 XLT that came with manual cloth seats. I got a set of 2003 leather power heated seats that I would like to install but don't have the wiring pre ran under the carpet. My question is, what do I need to run or buy to install my new seats? Do I just need a power and ground? Any help would be great.
Thanks

You can use the sheet metal as a ground, and just run a power wire thru a fuse from the hot side of another fuse, using a tap commonly available at auto electronic stores. Check the owner's manual for the fuse size that powers the OE heated seat. If you're REALLY lucky, you might find the fuse location is already wired and the wire is in a connector under the dash or in the L kick panel. Then you could just stick a fuse in to make the wire hot, and tap your power wire into the connector.

F250 may be different, but my F150 had the PS lead at the right kick panel. It was with a plug which also had heated seat circuit. The PS power circuit is dk green. It does not extend to under the seat, but if you splice in from the kick panel, your fuse in the battery junction box will be correct.
