Good deal! Free is always the right price.

Good to hear Todd! A free starter is never a bad thing. Does it turn over nice and fast now?

It sure does Byron. My brother assures me it's working great so far.

while the lifetime free is a good thing from advanced, i would rather spend the extra money and have the rebuilder a few miles away do it and noty have to changer the damn starter every year.

i have never had to replace anything he has done. the alternator on the 88 was put on back in 89 and has 475,000 miles on it, and the starter has been in it for over 200,000 miles.
he has already built me an alternator for the 02, and when the starter in the 02 goes he is getting that too.

I completely agree Tom. However, this not being my truck and needs substantial work at that, he won't do it. I'm really trying to talk him into giving me a good amount of money to put a new motor and to fix all the BS at once.

IIRC it had low compression in a few cylinders when you checked it, so someday he wont have a choice! lol Hopefully later rather than sooner.

Yeah, not a single cylinder over 300psi and one was like 240.

It's been over a year since we tested it. Even poorly maintained these motors are beasts! Lol
