I have a 460 with 429 heads. The car has been setting in the shop for about a year for a new paint job. Close to finishing the car so I drained the oil and it was milky. No water came out first just milky oil. I pulled the plugs and have some condensation on the center plugs on both sides. I went to pull the aluminum intake and the bolts were almost hand tight. Good gasket seal do not see a leak. I also have clean oil under the valve covers and in the valley under the intake. Is this just condensation or should I pull the heads. The motor only has about 500 miles on it.

It's likely from condensation buildup. You might have a blocked breather tube, leaky or blown head gasket etc. Anti freeze might be getting into it. Have you noticed low levels of anti freeze frequently? Somewhere something is leaking. First thing that came to my mind was a head gasket issue. I've only had to deal with this once on a low mile Toyota truck that came into the shop and a head gasket was the issue.
Since it was sitting and not really tightened down everything might be ok. Change the oil and put it all back together properly and give it a good run a few times and come back and check again.

The fuel system should have absolutely no way of making the oil look like that. There is no connection. You yourself said the intake was improperly bolted down. Condensation got into the cylinders towards the heads and built up causing the oil to become milky. You should be fine if you clean it up and torque it back down.

I was thinking of cylinder fuel wash diluting the oil. I work on diesel engines and fuel dilution is common. I did pull the heads today just to have a look not much work at this point. Both head gasket looks good to me. I cleaned the heads, do not see any cracks or signs of leaks. I will put it back together and copper coat the new head gaskets. With the 69 429 heads should I us a 429 head gasket or 460 are they the same? I used a 429 intake gasket last time, bigger ports on the 429 heads.
