2007 2wd Front Bearing Replacement
After many hours of browsing various forums and whatnot, I ordered a set of Timken SET930 bearings from rock auto. I am prepared to press the bad ones out of my rotors and press the new ones in as my rotors are still good, I just have my passenger side bearing starting to go bad. A few questions I have are:
does anyone know of a step-by-step write-up/guide/video? I have the basic idea, just want to make sure I'm not missing something.
Do I need to grease the new bearing before pressing it in? I don't think so but need to make sure...
Has anyone done it WITHOUT a press? I know it'll be more difficult but is it possible?
Thanks.

My '07 just went thru the same issue. Honestly, replacing the bearing just isn't worth it. Replacing the rotor and bearing assembly is quick and easy to do, it can literally be done in 20 minutes. Unless your current rotor is nearly new, which it likely is not if the bearings are shot, replacing the whole unit is best. If you decide to just replace the bearing, from all I have seen, yes, you'll need the press. I'm sure you can find a local shop to press in the new bearings for a small fee.

If you're possibly replacing it anyway, consider the Centric's 2 piece replacement front wheel assembly. It makes it like T-Bird is where the rotor is separate from the hub so the rotor can be replaced as needed without touching the hub. It uses a 4x4 rotor so it's relative easy to find if needed.
I put them on mine last spring and so far it's working fine.
